Nutcracker Program Information
Dancer Eligibility
All dancers MUST be 5+ years of age prior to September 1, 2024. Age exceptions will not be made for Nutcracker.
Class Requirements
All Class Requirements MUST be taken through Ovations Studios. Enrollment must be for the entire 2024-2025 school year.
Primary Ballet Level Dancers
One, 45-minute technique class at Ovations per week.
Ballet A-D Level Dancers
One, 1-hour ballet technique class at Ovations per week.
Ballet D/E split level, Ballet E and Intermediate Level Dancers who are not en pointe
Two, 1-hour ballet technique classes per week
Intermediate Level Dancers who are en pointe
Two, 1-hour ballet technique classes per week at Ovations and one, half hour pointe class per week
Advanced Ballet Level Dancers
Two, 1.5-hour ballet technique classes at Ovations per week
Rehearsal Days & Times
Rehearsals run September 5th-December 15th.
Most rehearsals will be held Fridays between 5:00 & 9:00.
Some Saturday/Sunday Afternoon/Evening rehearsals will be scheduled.
Preliminary Costume Fittings will occur on Saturday September 7th.
Due to male dancer availability, all pas de deux roles (male/female partnering-Including Clara, Party Parent, Snow Queen, Sugar Plum Fairy, Waltz of the Flowers, Act II Variation Leads, Mouse King, & Christmas Tree Birds) may rehearse Thanksgiving weekend. All other roles will have 11/28-12/1 off.

Technical Rehearsals & Performance Dates
December 9th-December 15th.
Attendance is required at all Technical Rehearsals and Performances. Conflicts are not permitted. Exceptions will not be granted.
Tuition
Nutcracker tuition is for Nutcracker participation only. The fee does not include required ballet technique classes.
Dancers Age 11+: $TBA
Dancers Ages 5-10: $TBA
*Tuition includes live action photos and access to a digital performance video download. Portrait photos will be available for an additional fee.
